New Energy-Saving Form Materials Become Climate

Energy-saving doors and windows are designed to meet specific performance standards in key areas such as air tightness, water resistance, sound insulation, and thermal efficiency. With growing pressure on energy conservation and emission reduction in China, improving the energy efficiency of building doors and windows has become a vital strategy. These advanced products not only help reduce energy consumption but also contribute to saving social resources and lowering costs for end-users.

As the demand for sustainable building materials increases, new energy-saving materials are being introduced into the market. Among these, high-tech options like aluminum alloy heat-insulating profiles, aluminum-wood composite systems, steel-plastic extruded profiles, and UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) profiles have gained popularity. UPVC profiles, in particular, are widely used due to their durability and energy-efficient properties, often made from rigid polyvinyl chloride that offers excellent thermal performance.

A notable innovation in this field is vacuum glass, which represents a significant leap in energy-efficient glazing technology. This type of glass uses tiny, evenly distributed support particles to maintain a very thin gap—between 0.1 and 0.2 mm—and creates a vacuum within the cavity, reaching a pressure of at least 0.1 Pa. Compared to traditional glass, vacuum glass provides about four times better insulation, making it ideal for energy-conscious buildings. Its high thermal resistance also reduces condensation and frost formation, making it especially beneficial in colder climates during winter months.

Another exciting development is smart glass, which addresses varying insulation needs across different regions and seasons. Developed through electrochromic technology, smart glass can adjust its transparency based on external conditions. After years of research and testing, this intelligent glass has now entered mass production, marking a major step forward in the evolution of energy-efficient building solutions. As more buildings adopt these innovations, the future of construction looks brighter, greener, and more efficient.
