High-end equipment manufacturing power cutting tool reproduction business opportunities

From 2011, we began to pay attention to various voices of the “Twelfth Five-Year” development plan for high-end equipment manufacturing. Until May of this year, the document finally came out in a long-awaited manner. In discussing how to proceed with this issue, my colleagues and I have made a difficult question in the “Discussing the challenges of cutting knife companies”: where are the technical integration points between high-end equipment manufacturing and tool companies? What is the specific situation of the lack of core technologies mentioned repeatedly? In view of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period or the prospect of a longer-term future, where should China's cutting tool companies work? Each question looks very puzzling, do we really get clues? After several rounds of discussions, we decided to do our best to elaborate on this issue. Even if it is not professional enough and in-depth enough, at least it can give Chinese tool companies some thought.

Late in the "12th Five-Year Development Plan for High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry", the first part summarizes the current situation and development situation facing the high-end equipment manufacturing industry with hundreds of words: Weak innovation capability, core technologies and core key components are subject to people; The development of basic supporting capabilities lags behind. Equipment hosts face “empty shells”; product reliability is low, and the industrial chain is high-end vacancy; industry scale is small, market satisfaction rate is low; the industrial system is not perfect, and the related infrastructure and service system construction lags behind. The words “innovation capabilities, key components, industrial chains, and industrial systems” refer not only to high-end equipment manufacturing but also to machine tools.

The ability to innovate is weak. This is a common problem among cutting tool companies in China. Duplicated investment in the market has become normal, and companies often win customers rather than unique products through price competition. Foreign tools occupy the majority of China's cutting tools, especially the high-end cutting tool market. Mitsubishi Blades, OSG Taps, Cobalt Collar Bits... The high-end of each field seems to be inaccessible to Chinese companies. This is not a “core technology lack”. A few words can be summarized briefly. Professor Han Rongdi, who studies cutting technology at Harbin Institute of Technology, said: “In general, this is a matter of craftsmanship. The nuances of materials, the slight differences in angles, and the changes in coatings all affect the tools. These not only require time experience. Accumulation requires more meticulous research, and most foreign companies do not even have professional cutting demonstration laboratories.

The reporter called several private CNC tool companies and talked about the “12th Five-Year Plan” of high-end equipment manufacturing industry. It is widely believed that it will have a certain influence on the future market share of tooling, and it is also very clear that this is a very Big challenge. Many private enterprise products that are in contact with the company are "multiple and comprehensive," but they lack classification and pertinence. Aerospace, rail transportation and marine equipment are the three industries most closely linked to cutting tools in high-end equipment manufacturing. In the country, there are almost no experts specifically targeting any of the three fields. Professor Wang Yongguo of Shanghai University said: “Perhaps the aerospace companies and other tool organizations will experience some differences in the tool technology gap in practical applications. However, as far as I understand, there are special studies. There are almost no experts in these fields of application.” Suzhou Xinrui Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd. was born out of Jiangling Group. Many of the company's products are directly applied to the exploitation of submarine oil. The deputy general manager Wang Yongfu feels that both the technology and the product To understand the environment of the domestic industry and the quality of employees, our gaps are unimaginable, and it is not often the only technical problem that is critical.

More than one company has set its own goals in the future to provide users with total solutions. It seems that this is a truly distant goal. Taking the Seco Tools oil and gas solution as an example, they first described the characteristics of the industry and the basic requirements of the solution: The oil and gas industry plays a leading role in securing the world's energy supply. It is the key to the political and economic stability of our entire planet. The industry symbolizes the reliability of innovative exploration and mining solutions.

They expect that the production of oil and gas related equipment will gradually increase in the next few years. Equipment in the oil and gas industry must meet the most stringent requirements for durability and reliability. It is hoped that in extreme conditions (from the extreme cold in the Arctic and deep-sea pressures to high temperatures in the desert and corrosive environments), there is a perfect performance. These parts are crucial to actual stability and energy security. The machining solutions for such components focus on the high demands of quality, cost, and productivity.
