Proper maintenance of front and rear bearings is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of your vehicle's wheel system. This guide provides a step-by-step approach to safely remove, inspect, and reassemble the bearings while protecting them from damage.

Before starting, make sure you have the following tools and materials: - Lithium-based grease or molybdenum disulfide grease - 500 ml of lamp oil or diesel - Rags or old clothes - A washbasin - A parts storage box - Basic repair tools - A marker pen

Choose a windless day and park the vehicle on a flat surface. Engage the handbrake and open the parking brake. Secure the front or rear wheels with chocks to prevent movement during the process.

Begin by loosening the wheel bolts in a diagonal order. Use a jack to lift one side of the wheel and secure it with an iron triangle bracket or wooden blocks. Repeat the same for the other side to ensure stability.

Remove the loosened bolts and set them aside in the parts box. Carefully take off the wheel and then remove the brake pads, making sure to note their left and right positions using a marker. Next, take off the bearing protection cap and remove the hub assembly bolts and securing pins.

Inspect the bearings carefully. If they show signs of severe wear, replace them immediately. If not, clean them thoroughly using diesel or kerosene. Apply a generous amount of grease to the bearings before reinstalling them.

Tighten the hub bolts and adjust the bearing to ensure there is no play. Rotate the wheel to check for smooth movement. Once everything feels secure, reattach the hub cover and brake components.

Clean the brake disc with a clean cloth, checking for any damage or deformation. Replace if necessary. Reinstall the wheel, tightening the bolts in a diagonal pattern using a torque wrench (minimum 40 kg·m).

This process typically takes about 2–3 hours for a single person. Regular maintenance can significantly extend the life of your bearings and improve overall vehicle performance.
