1. Before starting the sand washer, it's essential to inspect the drain hole and ensure there is no blockage caused by debris. If any obstructions are found, clean them immediately to avoid potential issues during operation. Additionally, make sure to remove any dirt or foreign materials from the water tank and the wheel bucket that might interfere with the movement of the system. Next, check all fasteners and bolts to confirm they are securely tightened, especially for newly installed sand washers. It’s also important to verify that the lubricant level in the machine is sufficient. If it’s below the recommended level, add the appropriate lubricant right away. Check the condition of the drive belt; if it shows signs of wear, cracks, or damage, replace it promptly. If there’s oil on the belt, wipe it off using a clean cloth. Also, ensure that the protective guards are intact and secure. If any guard is damaged or unsafe, remove it immediately and replace it before operation.
2. Once the pre-start inspection is complete and everything looks good, you may proceed to start the sand washer. However, only do so when the machine and its transmission components are operating normally. If any unusual noises, vibrations, or malfunctions occur after starting the machine, stop it immediately. Investigate the cause of the problem and fix it before restarting. The sand washer should be started without load to ensure smooth operation.
3. After the sand washer is running smoothly, begin feeding raw materials into the machine according to the specified procedure. When stopping the machine, follow the correct shutdown sequence as outlined in the manual. Never stop the machine while it is still running, and avoid adding more material after it has been turned off.
The maintenance process should include checking the oil level in the gearbox of the sand washer regularly. Ensure the oil level is at or above the marked line. Change the oil every 3 to 6 months. When replacing the oil, clean the oil tank and gear surfaces thoroughly using clean gasoline or kerosene. Replace the grease (calcium-based) every 12 months. While the machine is in operation, never stand close to it or attempt to touch the body, adjust, clean, or perform repairs manually. Always ensure the sand washer is properly grounded to prevent electrical hazards. All wiring should be well insulated and housed in a protective conduit. Regularly inspect the motor wiring for signs of wear or leakage to prevent accidents.
