In recent years, Chinese mold companies have increasingly focused on protecting their innovations through patented technologies. With over 5,200 invention patents and more than 7,200 utility model patents, the industry is showing strong growth in intellectual property development. In 2012, the total value of mold imports and exports reached $5.62 billion, marking a significant 24.06% increase compared to the previous year. Exports alone rose by 37.96%, reaching $3.23 billion, while imports increased by 8.82% to $2.36 billion. Molds are now being exported to over 188 countries and regions around the world.
The majority of mold companies in China are small and medium-sized private enterprises, primarily concentrated in provinces such as Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Fujian, Shandong, Hebei, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Hubei. According to Luo Baihui, the secretary-general of the International Mold Association, the mold industry plays a vital role in China’s light manufacturing sector and is closely tied to everyday life. The country's mold output value is estimated at nearly 210 billion yuan, with export values exceeding 138 billion yuan. However, challenges remain, including low management standards, weak innovation capabilities, and lower labor productivity, which hinder the industry's sustainable growth.
As competition intensifies globally, it is crucial for domestic companies to prioritize technological advancement and patent filings. Most of the tools and molds sold worldwide come from China, making it the leading supplier in the global mold market. Despite this, the industry still faces several issues, such as slow progress in R&D system reforms, a noticeable gap compared to foreign competitors, and limitations in export value, product performance, pricing, and company size. Rising raw material costs also pose a challenge, limiting further growth and quality improvement.
To thrive in the new market landscape, mold enterprises must invest more in scientific and technological innovation, develop product certifications, accelerate technological upgrades, enhance supporting policies, and create favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment. Promoting corporate asset reorganization is also essential to ensure long-term competitiveness and support industry growth.
Looking ahead, there is hope that Guangdong will leverage local government enthusiasm to establish intellectual property training centers in industrial clusters, especially in areas where many small and medium-sized enterprises are concentrated. These initiatives could help boost innovation and patent awareness among local businesses.
As of June this year, Guangdong led the nation in the number of effective invention patents, with 87,800 in force. The province has also maintained the top position in PCT international patent applications for 11 consecutive years. According to the State Intellectual Property Office's 2012 report on national IPR development, Guangdong ranked first in the comprehensive IPR development index. Additionally, in 2012, the province secured 1.938 billion yuan in pledges for 492 patents, again placing it at the top nationally.
Container House
Container house are easy to install and disassemble, and have obvious advantages in use!
Container house are also a kind of Prefab Houses, which can meet the needs of daily living, and also have the advantages of convenient disassembly and installation, and are used in many construction sites. Moreover, the size and specifications of the house can be customized and processed, and the installation can be completed quickly, which is also conducive to long-term use. So what are its advantages?
Easy to transport
Compared with other construction houses, container houses are convenient for daily use and easy to transport, and are very suitable for units that frequently change construction sites. The container house itself is made of steel plate, which is economical, environmentally friendly and durable, and it adopts a steel frame as a whole, which has a very good anti-seismic effect, strong stability, and a certain degree of airtightness. While it is convenient for daily use, it can also avoid water ingress, etc., and can also meet people's living needs.
Various spaces can be formed
This type of house does not need to lay a foundation, it can be constructed and installed directly, and can generate a variety of space combinations. In particular, some large-scale construction sites may not only need basic dormitories, but also need meeting rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. Compared with directly building other houses, the advantages of using container houses are also very obvious. Its standard width is generally about two or three meters, and houses of different sizes can also be customized, and the construction is also very simple. In particular, the construction of the Folding Container House only takes 10 minutes and is very simple.
Easy to disassemble
The steel plates of the container can be disassembled, and the performance is stable, and the material can be recycled again, and there is no need to worry about generating construction waste, and it can also be recycled. Because the material itself has undergone anti-corrosion treatment, it also has a certain fire performance, so it can be cleaned frequently to ensure its long-term use.
cost-effective
The container house can be used for a long time after one-time installation, and it can also be disassembled and installed again at any time with the relocation of the construction site, which can save a lot of construction costs for dormitories, and is also very cost-effective. Moreover, it is an integral structure, and the interior can be decorated with wooden veneers, etc. It can also be moved synchronously, and it can save a lot of costs for long-term use.
