The extraction plan for H-beam steel, utilizing the hydraulic pile puller method, involves the following steps:
1. Construction Planning:
Once the underground portion of the project or the basement roof’s concrete strength meets the design specifications, and after sand or soil backfilling is completed, the H-beams can be extracted. For this project, we will use a 25-ton truck-mounted crane to initiate the H-beam removal process and equip it with a Dongyi hydraulic pile puller (model PM300LS).
2. Construction Procedures:
Site leveling → Installation of hydraulic pile puller → Crane positioning → H-beam extraction → Grouting
3. Site Preparation:
A. Prior to extracting the H-beams, clean the top ring beam to ensure a stable and vertical placement of the hydraulic pile puller.
B. Clear all obstructions from the work area and ensure that the crane’s lifting gear is properly secured under the 25-ton crane.
C. Based on the project's specific conditions, coordinate effectively to provide ample operational space and access routes.
4. Hydraulic Pile Puller Installation:
Position the hydraulic pile puller (model PM300LS) evenly on the top ring beam. Use a crane to hoist the H-beam lifting frame on either side of the target H-beam for extraction.
5. H-Beam Extraction:
Activate the high-pressure oil pump, and simultaneously lift the two pile pullers upward to extract the beam portion.
6. Grouting:
To prevent any adverse effects caused by voids left after removing the H-beams on nearby residential structures and buildings, cement grout must be injected into the extracted H-beams.
This process ensures the integrity and safety of surrounding structures while facilitating efficient extraction of the H-beams. The images below illustrate the equipment setup and the grouting procedure.
