Mitsubishi Materials Tools Launches New Slotting Tool

According to the Nikkei BP News Agency: Japan's Mitsubishi Materials Tool (Headquarters: Tokyo) launched the "GY" series of slotting turning tools. Since the series is modular, it is only necessary to replace the parts when it is damaged. In addition, the same rigidity as the integrated slotting tool is achieved by using a modular blade that is fixed in three directions from the lateral/front/upper directions.
The product line includes 94 insert inserts, 42 modular inserts and 12 modular toolholders. The width of the embedded blade includes 10 types of 2.00 to 6.35 mm, and for the corner R, there are 4 widths of 0.20 to 0.80 mm. In addition, there are five types of chipbreakers that support various processes such as grooving/multi-function/profiling/cutting. In terms of inserting the blade, the "VP10RT/20RT" is a coating material for steel and the "MB8025" is a cBN material for high-hardness material finishing.
In terms of price, the chip breaker "GYM0300F040N-MS" for low feed rate is 1858 yen (tax included), and "GY1G0300F020N-GFGS" for slotting processing is 13,000 yen (tax included), tool holder" GYHR2525M00-M25R" is 149,910 yen (including tax), and the blade "GYM25RA-F12" is 119,150 yen (tax included).
