Monitoring pole size

The monitoring pole serves as a columnar support structure for outdoor surveillance cameras. Typically, road monitoring systems use poles that are 6 meters in height with a 1-meter crossarm. The embedded parts of the monitoring poles are constructed using C25 concrete, which meets national standards for reinforcement and wind resistance requirements. The cement used is No. 425 ordinary Portland cement, and the concrete mix ratio and minimum cement content must comply with the regulations outlined in GBJ204-83. It is essential that the monitoring pole is properly grounded. Ideally, a grounding wire should be connected to an underground conductor (it is recommended not to use a conductive rod), ensuring that the grounding resistance remains below 4 ohms. The anchor bolts located above the flange plate should be carefully wrapped to protect the threads from damage. When installing the monitoring pole, it should be placed correctly according to the embedded part installation diagram. This ensures that the boom arm extends perpendicular to the traffic lane (or as specified by the engineer), and the anchor bolt acts as the main reinforcing element. The base of the monitoring pole must have a levelness of less than 5 mm per meter to ensure the embedded part is as level as possible. The flange of the embedded part should be positioned 20–30 mm below the surrounding ground level, and then covered with C25 fine gravel to prevent water accumulation. When the length of the monitoring pole exceeds 50 meters, or when it is installed near the control box, cable bends, or where the cable ducts at both ends are not aligned vertically by more than 100 mm, a hand-hole well must be provided. Each hand-hole well should measure 500 mm in length, 500 mm in width, and 600 mm in depth. Gravel should be used for drainage, and the walls of the hand-hole well must be cleaned with cement mortar. The control box is supplied by the equipment manufacturer based on the required capacity. The monitoring pole shell is made from high-quality cold-rolled steel sheet with a wall thickness of at least 1.2 mm. It is coated with outdoor plastic powder to provide waterproofing, anti-theft protection, and effective heat dissipation. The structural steel used for the monitoring poles must be free from defects such as cracks, delamination, heavy skin, or slag inclusions, as these can affect the material's mechanical properties. Any pits or scratches on the surface should not exceed half of the steel thickness tolerance or 0.5 mm in depth, whichever is smaller.
