In addition, the water absorption rate of each type of wall tile is not the same, which depends on the experience to grasp.
Shop before leveling
The foundation should be cleaned before tiling, for example, lime plaster, latex paint, wallpaper, etc. on the wall, or dirt on the ground, must be cleaned, otherwise the cement mortar and the grass-roots layer will not be firmly bonded; in addition, if the wall itself Cracks should be made after proper treatment, so as to avoid cracking or falling off of the wall bricks in the future;
In addition, for the floors or walls where the flatness or verticality gap is too large, the cement mortar must be used for leveling treatment.
The order of laying stress
Posted floor tiles should be from the inside to the outside, such as the slope of the ground or there are leaks children, should pay attention to the direction of the drainage slope; wall tiles should be laid from the bottom, for the sake of beauty, the bottom of the brick should be posted. After pressing the tiles, press the floor tiles. When there are half bricks, you should try to place them below. In addition, a wall cannot be attached to the top at a time to prevent the tile from being heavy and causing it to fall.
Left seam precautions
According to needs and aesthetics, kitchen and bathroom can be left to seam 1-3 mm, 1.5 mm is better, polished tiles and wall joints left seam 3-5 mm; in the stairs, columns, corridors and walls, etc. at the edge , should also leave 1-3 mm.
Paving time
Dry plastering should be carried out after the substrate is consolidated; for about 1 hour (depending on the weather and the degree of cement condensation), the cement paste must be wiped clean with a mallet or a sponge in time to prevent the surface from being contaminated for a long time and difficult to clean; Stick for 12 hours and hit the brick surface with a mallet.
Check emptying phenomenon
If there is an "empty" sound, it is proved to be empty, if the area is more than 5% of the area of ​​the tile, or if there is a need to hang it at that location, and if the wall needs an open hole, the tile must be re-attached.
Check for color change
The main reason is that in addition to the poor quality of the tiles and the thin shaft surface, improper operation methods are also important factors. The materials should be strictly selected during construction, and clean water should be used for soaking the sleeve bricks. Paste cement mortar should use pure sand and cement. Always clean the remaining mortar on the brick surface during operation. If the color change larger wall tiles should be updated.
