Acceptance criteria for glass ceilings

This section applies specifically to glass ceilings. The number of inspections includes a perceptual check, with up to 20% of the total random samples allowed for inspection.

(1) Mandatory Items

The type, size, color, shape, fixing method, and installation position of the keel and frame must strictly follow the design specifications and comply with the regulations outlined in Chapter 2 of this standard. This ensures stability, safety, and reliability. Additionally, the keel and frame must undergo fireproofing, anti-corrosion, and anti-rust treatments as required by relevant standards. The glass sealing strip and extrusion should be tightly sealed. The weather resistance and adhesion of the sealing compound must meet national standards to ensure proper performance and maintain a straight, uniform, and orderly appearance.

The type, size, color, pattern, and fixing method of the glass must align with both the design requirements and applicable national standards.

Glass installation should use a soft connection method. The installation must be secure, with the glass overlapping the notch at an appropriate size to meet safety standards. The inlay at the notch must be firmly bonded to both the glass and the frame, ensuring a dense and solid fill.

Inspection methods include visual observation, manual testing, ruler measurements, and verification of product certificates and construction acceptance records.

(2) Basic Items

The surface quality of the glass ceiling must meet the following criteria:

Qualified: The color and pattern of the glass must match the design, and the coating should be correctly oriented. The surface pattern should be neat, arranged in order, and clean. The coating should be complete, without scratches or contamination.

Excellent: The color and pattern of the glass must fully meet the design, with correct orientation of the coating. The surface pattern should be beautifully arranged, clean, bright, and free from scratches, pollution, or damage around the edges.

The quality of the glass fittings, beading, and cushioning must meet the following requirements:

Qualified: The glass caulking should be even and filled densely. The beading, bedding layer, inlay, and glass should be tightly connected, with consistent width and accurate cuts, ensuring flush edges. Metal bead coatings should be complete, while wooden beads should have smooth and clean paint finishes.

Excellent: The caulked gaps should be evenly spaced, filled densely, and free from spills or pollution. The beading, cushioning, and strips should be tightly attached to the glass, with consistent width and precise cuts, ensuring smooth edges and tight, flat joints. Metal bead coatings should be free from scratches, and wooden bead finishes should be smooth, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.

The patterns on embossed and patterned glass should be assembled according to the following guidelines:

Qualified: Colors should be evenly coordinated, patterns should be stitched and matched, and seams should be tight.

Excellent: Colors should be uniform, stitching should be smooth and well-matched, and the appearance should be beautiful with tight seams.

Inspection methods include visual observation and ruler measurement.
