According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, in recent years, due to rising labor costs, China's demand for high-performance machine tools has soared, and machine tool sales have expanded to three times that of Japan, reaching a scale of 2 trillion yen. In the case of the continued appreciation of the yen, Japanese well-known machine tool manufacturers decided to produce high-performance products in China to meet the needs of the market in order to take advantage of the fierce competition with European companies.

High-performance machine tools have always been a good area for Japanese companies. To prevent technology loss, Japan has long insisted on domestic production and exported overseas. However, due to the appreciation of the yen, Japanese companies are at a disadvantage in competition with European companies. In order not to lose the Chinese market, Japanese companies are forced to invest in high-performance machine tools in China. Yamazaki Mazak will produce horizontal machining centers in Ningxia during the year, and plans to produce dozens of units per month; OKUMA decided to spend 2 billion yen to expand the horizontal machining center production in Beijing; Tiantian Co., Ltd. began in Shanghai in July. The factory produces laser processing machines for processing automotive and motor metal sheets. It plans to produce 3 units per month, and gradually increase production in the future. It will produce 10-15 units in 2013. Mitsubishi Electric started production of laser processing machines in Dalian in January this year. Subsequent production can be doubled, from 5 units per month to 10 units.

Musk Xylene is a Synthetic Musk fragrance which mimics natural musk.

It has been used as a perfume fixative in a wide variety of consumer products, and is still used in some cosmetics and fragrances.

Musk xylene was once the most widely used of the "nitro-musks", but its use has declined sharply since the mid-1980s due to safety and environmental concerns, and musk xylene is a useful example of the lowest level of such risks which need to be taken into account.
