Since the start of the solar water heater industry in 1993, after more than 20 years of development, solar water heaters have made great progress, but there are also some problems. On the one hand, the solar water heater market faces the phenomenon of product homogenization caused by the lag of technology upgrade and slow product update; on the other hand, the solar water heaters that users have generally reflected for many years are severely restricted by weather conditions and cannot meet the 24-hour hot water bath throughout the year. The demand has not been resolved. The breakthrough of this bottleneck also requires the industry to inject new ideas and new technologies.

In recent years, the complementary use of solar energy and heat pump, gas, electricity, biomass and other energy sources has been gradually promoted, and “energy integration” has become a key word for the development of solar thermal utilization industry. Li Dexiang, a member of the China Green Building and Energy Conservation Committee, also said that multi-energy utilization is the direction of the development of the solar water heater industry. Multiple energy sources can complement each other and are not restricted by the sun, satisfying consumers' 24-hour energy demand.

The reporter learned that at present, Haier has developed a dual-energy solar water heater with multiple energy sources. It has an intelligent monitoring system that can monitor solar water temperature and water level at all times. When solar heating cannot meet the expected temperature requirements, dual-heat solar energy will automatically switch to Electric heating mode to ensure hot water supply. In addition, consumers can easily complete the hot water switching between solar water heaters and electric water heaters through a knob during bathing, achieving double-channel water supply, and saving more than 80% of electricity throughout the year. It is understood that Haier double thermal solar water heater will be listed and sold in Jingdong Mall recently.

Nowadays, the complementary use of multiple energy sources has become a development trend.
