The Sialkot government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan said recently that China’s footwear entrepreneurs are very welcome to invest in newly established duty-free zones.
Located in the northeastern part of Pakistan's Punjab Province, close to Indian-controlled Kashmir, Hillgoat is Pakistan's traditional cotton production base and cotton textile industry base. It is also an important export processing region in Pakistan. The main export products are sports footwear, medical equipment, Leather products, gloves and musical instruments are renowned in the world, with an annual export value of 1 billion US dollars. To promote exports, the Pakistani government has established a second export processing zone in the country and zero-tariff treatment for export products.
Local government officials stated that Chinese investors will receive a large number of business opportunities in the tax-free zone and the government will do its best to support Chinese companies to conduct business.
