World's First Q-HAP Solar Air Conditioner Available

Recently, the world’s first Q-HAP solar air-conditioner was born in the United States. The first batch of two one-piece and one-half solar-powered air-conditioners have officially passed the national 3C compulsory certification, and were first launched in the Chinese market at the beginning of this month and entered the ordinary people’s family.

According to Wu Wenxin, president of the Domestic Air Conditioning Division of Midea Refrigeration Appliances Group, Midea has mastered a complete and mature technical solution for solar air-conditioning and has a total of 13 patents for inventions, establishing a pool of patented technologies.

In the future, this technology will also be able to quickly replicate other home appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, etc., to form a more complete solar air-conditioning product line to meet the needs of different groups and markets.

Shen Hui, director of the Institute of Solar Energy Research at Sun Yat-Sen University, said, "In recent years, the research and development of solar air-conditioning in the world has mainly focused on three aspects: First, solar thermal technology, using hot water as a new cold medium for cooling and heating air-conditioning; The second is solar photovoltaic storage technology, with the help of solar photovoltaic and battery storage to drive air-conditioning operation; third, solar photovoltaic power generation and city electricity seamless docking technology, with solar energy and utility power to drive air-conditioning operation.”

It is understood that the introduction of solar air-conditioning in the United States directly avoids the bottleneck of the battery, and creatively proposes a "solar power generation, seamless connection to the mains power supply" technical solution, through the "solar DC The power supply quasi-grid technology" uses solar power generation to meet the normal operation of the air conditioner. When the solar power is insufficient, the utility power of the home will automatically seamlessly cut in, and the air-conditioning operation will not be affected.
