In the EnergySage data, Panasonic and LG accounted for 46% of the market share in the first half of 2018.
Japanese and Korean manufacturers have overcome the obstacles caused by solar tariffs and gained a larger market share with high quality and high brand awareness.
PV consumers are very interested in energy storage
70% of PV consumers expressed interest in installing home energy storage systems while installing PV equipment.
The CEO of EnergySage said: "Any trade restrictions imposed on the photovoltaic industry will hurt US consumers and American workers."
However, despite these recent obstacles, the household PV industry is expected to achieve significant growth in the coming years.
